Director Tom Cironis

How can we support the transition from linear to circular economy?

The complete transition would require a change in global thinking. We are raised to aspire for more, for new. We need to re-think how we describe success – instead of asking how much the businesses made, ask how much it's saved this year. Re-using rather than purchasing, thinking in a long-run investing instead of pushing to asap returns. Investing in circular startups is just the 1st step.

Tomas came from the non-profit field directly to the startup environment. He worked in the ELAI organising the Innovation Week and right now is the Director of the European Finale of the worldwide Startup World Cup & Summit.

In Air Ventures he does the investment analysis, gives a hand to portfolio companies as well as connects different networks. Tomas also co-founded the WeAre Summit platform, being the world’s first 3D virtual startup summit with Guy Kawasaki in a pandemic-free virtual reality in April 2020.

In his free time, he fundraises for a nonprofit organization LORM, helping deaf-blind people, plays floorball or travels around the globe. Former AIESECer.
